About
Inlet Campground is tucked into deep, quiet forest along the North Umpqua River at the point where it flows into Lemolo Lake, the highest reservoir on the North Umpqua River at 4,150 feet elevation. The 13 campsites are surrounded by lodgepole pine, mountain hemlock and Shasta red fir, creating a peaceful setting popular with families and outdoor enthusiasts. Lemolo Lake offers year-round recreational opportunities including boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and water skiing. The lake reaches depths of up to 100 feet and supports populations of German brown trout, Eastern brook trout, rainbow trout and kokanee salmon. The forested shoreline and mountainous backdrop provide an ideal setting for both swimmers and anglers casting from boat or beach. Nearby Lemolo Falls Trail offers a steep traverse that drops into North Umpqua Canyon for views of Lemolo Falls cascading 150 feet to the canyon bottom. The campground is operated by a concessionaire under permit from the Umpqua National Forest. Limited garbage service means campers should be prepared to pack out most of their trash. Campers must bring their own drinking water as potable water is not available on-site.
