About

Whitehorse Falls Campground is a small, intimate campground with just five campsites nestled beneath a sheltering canopy of old-growth Douglas-fir trees. Located along the Clearwater River near where it cascades into a tranquil pool, the campground offers a cool, peaceful atmosphere perfect for those seeking a quiet retreat. The setting is one of many scenic spots along the Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway. This first-come, first-served campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets and picnic tables at each site, with fire pits available when fire conditions allow. Potable water is not available on-site, so campers should bring their own or be prepared to treat water from nearby sources. There are no garbage services, so visitors must pack out all trash. The campground can accommodate RVs up to 25 feet in length, though the old-growth forest setting and smaller sites make it particularly well-suited for tent camping. The campground operates seasonally, typically from mid-April through mid-November, with rates of $10 per night for a single site and $5 for each additional vehicle. Senior and Access pass holders receive a 50% discount on the campsite fee. Quiet hours are enforced between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., and the maximum stay is 14 days.
