Pless Place Hunt Camp offers primitive camping exclusively for licensed hunters in the expansive Richloam Wildlife Management Area of Withlacoochee State Forest. The camp features 27 designated sites, each capable of accommodating large hunting parties of up to 25 people with 5 camping units or 10 tents. Sites have 37-foot driveways suitable for trailers and self-propelled camping vehicles. This is a true primitive camping experience with no potable water, hookups, or permanent facilities. Portable toilets are placed on-site during hunting season dates only. Campers should be fully self-sufficient, bringing their own water supply and waste management solutions. The camp sits within excellent hunting territory with access to hiking trails, wildlife viewing, and horseback riding nearby. Reservations require proof of a current Florida hunting license or management area permit along with a valid driver's license. Firearms discharge is prohibited on, from, or across any campsite. Generators must be shut down between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Vehicles are restricted to named and numbered roads only.
