Cypress Glen Campground is part of the Silver Lake Recreation Complex within the Croom Tract of Withlacoochee State Forest in Hernando County, Florida. The campground contains 34 sites numbered 24-57, with 33 offering water and electric hookups (30/50 amp service) and one tent-only site. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grate or grill. The campground features level gravel pads that can accommodate RVs ranging from 20 to 60 feet. Facilities include one bathhouse with shower stalls and restrooms. A dump station is available nearby at Silver Lake Campground. The campground sits on the shore of Silver Lake, which is part of the Withlacoochee River system, providing excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, canoeing, and kayaking. Access to the boat ramp is available at the adjacent Silver Lake Day-Use Area. The location offers convenient access just 5 miles from I-75, though road noise may occasionally be audible. Recreational opportunities abound, including hiking on multiple trails, bicycling, and wildlife viewing. The Withlacoochee State Trail is nearby. Visitors should be aware that hunting occurs in the forest during certain seasons, and wearing at least 500 square inches of blaze orange is recommended when hiking during hunting season.
