About

Platte River State Park is a 413-acre wooded park nestled in the bluffs overlooking the Platte River valley between Omaha and Lincoln. The campground features 48 full hookup RV sites, all with 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. Sites are spacious at 20 feet wide and at least 50 feet long, making them suitable for larger RVs. Fifteen of these sites are pull-throughs, and five are ADA-compliant. Beyond RV camping, the park offers 4 first-come, first-served basic camping sites near the playground area. Campground amenities include a shower facility, modern restrooms with flush toilets, picnic tables and fire ring/grills at each site, a dump station, fenced dog park, and playground. The park also features 31 camper cabins, 21 modern housekeeping cabins, glamping cabins, and teepee accommodations. Recreational opportunities abound with hiking trails ranging from easy to difficult, a swimming pool, spray park, guided horseback riding (seasonal), tennis courts, fishing, boating, and an amphitheater. Scott Lodge Restaurant offers dining with seasonal hours including Friday pizza buffets, Saturday steak nights, and Sunday buffets.
