Located on the scenic southern bluffs of the Platte River between Omaha and Lincoln, Platte River State Park features a state-of-the-art campground designed for modern RV camping. The facility includes 48 full hookup sites with electric (50-amp), water, and sewer connections. All sites are generously sized at 20 feet wide and at least 50 feet long, with concrete pads ensuring stability and ease of setup. The campground offers 15 convenient pull-through sites and 5 ADA-accessible sites to accommodate various camping needs. Modern amenities include a centrally located shower facility and restrooms, providing comfort for all campers. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with grill, making it easy to enjoy outdoor meals and campfires. While 19 of the full hookup sites are available for advance reservation, the remaining sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The park's rolling terrain offers beautiful views of the Platte River valley, and campers have access to the park's extensive trail system, observation towers, and seasonal restaurant. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring this 453-acre park's diverse recreational opportunities including hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
