Branched Oak State Recreation Area encompasses a 1,800-acre reservoir located 4 miles west of Raymond and 15 miles northwest of Lincoln. As the largest lake in eastern Nebraska, it serves as a major destination for boating, fishing, water skiing, and swimming. The park contains nine public use areas around the shoreline, with South Shore (Area 1) and Middle Oak Creek (Area 4) serving as the primary developed campgrounds. South Shore Campground offers paved sites with 30-amp and 50-amp electrical hookups, including 11 full hookup sites with water and sewer connections, plus tent sites. Two coin-operated shower buildings serve the area. Middle Oak Creek Campground features hard-surfaced sites with electrical hookups, non-electrical pads, tent sites, and two modern shower buildings. Homestead Campground (Area 2) provides 15 pull-through equestrian electric plus sites with horse corrals and trail access. Beyond camping, the park offers four boat ramps, a marina with fuel, fish cleaning stations, hiking and biking trails, disc golf, archery, sand volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and a nationally recognized dog trial area. A Nebraska State Park Permit is required for entry.

Located 4 miles west of Raymond, Nebraska on Oak Creek. The entrance is on Northwest 140th Street. Approximately 15 miles northwest of Lincoln and 3 miles north of Malcolm.
