About
Located midway between Omaha and Lincoln at I-80 Exit 426, Eugene T. Mahoney State Park sits on 700 acres along the Platte River near Ashland. The park features two developed campgrounds: Lakeside Campground (sites 100-148) near Baright Lake and Owen Marina, and Little Creek Campground (sites 1-99) adjacent to playground and basketball facilities. Both campgrounds offer spacious, hard-surfaced pads situated among mature shade trees. Site types include electric (20/30 amp), electric plus (30/50 amp with dedicated water), and full hookup (electric, water, and sewer). Modern shower/latrine buildings with drinking water are centrally located in each campground, and coin-operated laundry is available at Little Creek. A dump and fill station is conveniently located near the park entrance. Beyond camping, the park offers extensive amenities including Peter Kiewit Lodge, an aquatic center with water slides, marina with boat rentals, horse rentals, hiking and biking trails, fishing, tennis courts, golf driving range, and nature programs.
