About

Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area is a favorite destination for campers, picnickers, and water enthusiasts in eastern Nebraska. The park encompasses approximately 40 land acres and nearly 300 water acres spread across 20 sandpit lakes, offering excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, and water skiing. Located just three miles west of Fremont in Dodge County, the area provides easy access for regional visitors. The campgrounds are situated among mature shade trees and feature five distinct camping areas: Victory Lake East, Victory Lake West, Pathfinder, Fisherman's Point, and Cottonwood. Recent improvements included electrical upgrades at 156 campsites, installation of nine ADA-compliant camping pads, a new restroom and shower house at Pathfinder Campground, and dump station replacement. Site types range from Electric Plus and Electric to Basic and Primitive options. Reservations are available through Nebraska Game and Parks up to 180 days in advance during peak season for approximately half of the electrical sites. All other camping operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The park features additional amenities including boat launches, docks, a handicap-accessible fishing pier, playgrounds, and picnic pavilions. The Tow Line Restaurant operates on-site.
