Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong westerly winds continue today, especially across the eastern Catskills, Mohawk Valley, Greater Capital District, northern Taconics, and southern Vermont. Blowing and drifting snow will occur today due to these gusty winds, where treated roadways can be re-covered in snow.

Pittsfield State Forest campground sits in the scenic Berkshires of western Massachusetts, offering a range of camping experiences from modern facilities to primitive sites. The campground includes multiple areas: one with a modern, accessible bathhouse featuring hot showers and flush toilets, and a primitive area near Berry Pond with accessible composting toilets. With 21 RV-suitable sites available, the campground accommodates both tent campers and RV users. The forest provides diverse recreational opportunities including hiking trails, mountain biking, horseback riding, and designated ATV and OHV trails. Berry Pond Circuit Road offers scenic drives with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the Berkshires region and is popular during summer months, particularly for visitors attending nearby Tanglewood events. Reservations are made through ReserveAmerica and are required for all stays. Massachusetts residents pay $17 per night while non-residents pay $54 per night. The campground enforces Massachusetts regulations prohibiting the transportation of firewood into or out of the facility. Dogs must remain on-leash in the campground and recreation areas but are allowed off-leash on trails.
