About

Clarksburg State Park provides a peaceful camping experience in 368 acres of abundant northern hardwood forest in the Berkshires. The campground features 46 well-spaced, wooded campsites located along the edge of Mausert's Pond, with gorgeous views of the Berkshire Hills and Green Mountains. Sites accommodate tents, pop-up trailers, and small RVs, though there are no electrical hookups or dump stations available. The park offers modern amenities including restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. Mausert's Pond provides opportunities for swimming in designated areas, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. The campground serves as a base for exploring 4.5 miles of foot trails, including the popular 3-mile Pond Loop Trail that circles the pond. Hikers may encounter a variety of wildlife, and lucky visitors might spot moose or otters. Picnic areas with tables and grills are available throughout the park. Clarksburg State Park is a family-friendly destination ideal for relaxing weekends in western Massachusetts. The trails are also suitable for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter months. A nature center and educational programs enhance the outdoor experience. Dogs are welcome on leash, and visitors must pack out all trash. The campground office operates daily from 8am to 10pm during the camping season.
