Piney Campground is located on Georgetown Lake, a 3,000-acre mountain lake in southwestern Montana's Pintler Ranger District. The campground features 48 camping units surrounded by lodgepole pines with spectacular mountain views of the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness. At an elevation of over 6,000 feet, the area provides habitat for moose, elk, white-tailed deer, bighorn sheep, blue herons, and birds of prey. The campground serves as a popular destination for water-based recreation including fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming. Georgetown Lake is known for kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, and brook trout. A boat launch is available on-site for both motorized and non-motorized watercraft. Hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers can access nearby trails, and Discovery Ski Area offers lift-access mountain biking in summer.
