About

Mount Nebo State Park Campground is situated atop one of Arkansas's most distinctive geological features, a flat-topped mountain plateau rising 1,800 feet above the surrounding Arkansas River Valley. The campground provides a mix of developed and primitive camping options with spectacular panoramic views. The 24 Class B campsites line the mountain's bluff edge, offering water and 30-amp electrical hookups along with access to a year-round bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets. These sites provide both convenience and stunning overlooks of the valley below. For a more secluded experience, 10 hike-in tent sites are scattered through the forested interior, accessed via the Bench Trail. The park features 14 miles of trails including the Rim Trail that encircles the mountaintop, opportunities for wildlife viewing especially deer at dusk, a seasonal swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and a visitor center. Note that Highway 155 to the summit has tight hairpin turns, making trailers or RVs over 24 feet inadvisable.

Directions

From Dardanelle, take Highway 155 west. The road climbs the mountain via a winding route with tight hairpin turns to the park at 16728 West State Hwy. 155, Dardanelle, AR 72834.
