Long Pool Recreation Area is a scenic campground nestled along Big Piney Creek in Pope County, Arkansas. Big Piney Creek is nationally designated as a Scenic and Recreational River, offering visitors exceptional natural beauty including a large natural swimming pool, dramatic rock bluffs, and lush Ozark forests. The campground provides a mix of camping options with 40 sites total: 20 sites without amenities and 20 sites with water and electrical hookups (including 50-amp service). The area accommodates large RVs and features flush toilets, hot showers, and an RV dump station. Drinking water is available from a hand pump. Beyond camping, the recreation area offers picnicking with 13 family units and a reservable pavilion. Recreational opportunities include swimming in the natural pool, canoeing and kayaking on Big Piney Creek, fishing, and hiking. The area lies within the Piney Creeks Wildlife Management Area, providing hunting opportunities during open seasons. Note: Motorboats are prohibited through December 31, 2026.

From Dover take Arkansas 7 north for 6 miles, turn left (west) on Arkansas 164 and go 3 miles, turn right (northeast) on County Road 14 and go 3 miles, then turn left (northwest) on County Road 15 and go 2 miles.
