Pines Point Campground
Open for the 2026 season. Operating dates are early May through mid-October. Some sites are first-come, first-served; others are reservable through Recreation.gov.
About
Pines Point Campground occupies a scenic stretch of the White River in the Huron-Manistee National Forests of western Michigan. The campground earned its name from the majestic white pines standing watch over the river's bend. With 27 family campsites and 5 group sites capable of hosting 20 guests each, the facility blends solitude with group camping flexibility. The White River defines the experience here. Paddlers can float the "point" in roughly an hour by canoe, kayak, or tube, with a walk-in canoe landing providing river access. Anglers target trout, salmon, and sucker in these waters. Several campsites overlook the river directly. Facilities include flush toilets, vault toilets, and potable water from faucets. Each site comes equipped with a fire ring, picnic table, and lantern post. The campground operates from early May through mid-October. Some sites are first-come, first-served while others can be reserved through Recreation.gov.
