This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band, the northwestern county of the Lac du Flambeau Band and the Bad River Reservation. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and Madeline Island. * WHEN...Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Around 1 to 3 inches of rain is expected to fall over several inches of lingering snowpack along the South Shore of Lake Superior. Namekagon campground is a family-friendly campground situated on the 3,227-acre Namekagon Lake at the headwaters of the Namekagon River, surrounded by hardwood and hemlock forest in northwestern Wisconsin. The campground features 34 campsites that can accommodate RVs up to 45+ feet, with both electric and non-electric sites available. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. The facility provides accessible vault toilets, potable water, trash collection, and recycling. The campground is famous for its excellent fishing opportunities, with anglers finding musky, pike, walleye, bass, and panfish in abundance. A day-use area features a picnic shelter, basketball court, sandy swimming beach, boat ramp, and fishing pier. The recreation area is an ideal base camp for exploring nearby attractions including the CAMBA mountain bike trail system, the North Country National Scenic Trail, and the Porcupine Lake Wilderness Area. The one-mile Namekagon Nature Trail begins at the campground and features a hemlock island with old-growth forest. Namekagon Lake is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, swimming, and motorized boating, with several restaurants accessible by boat along the shoreline. Wildlife watching opportunities are abundant, with elk, eagles, loons, and other species frequently spotted in the area.

Directions

From Cable, Wisconsin, take County Highway M east for 11 miles. Turn left on County Highway D and proceed about 6 miles to Forest Service Road 209. Turn left at the campground sign and drive less than a mile to the campground entrance.
