The park wraps around Pearrygin Lake with 11,000 feet of waterfront, providing extensive opportunities for water recreation including swimming, fishing, and boating. A boat launch with dock opens the first Friday of April, weather dependent. The 3.1-mile Rex Derr Trail offers hiking through shrub-steppe terrain with mountain views. The campground features a mix of standard and utility sites, with amenities including accessible restrooms, showers, drinking water, fire pits, and a dump station. Campfire programs run Tuesday and Thursday evenings from mid-June through Labor Day when staffing allows. Peak camping season runs from April through October, with the campground closed November 1 through March 31. Winter transforms the park into a destination for fat biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, with plowed parking areas and maintained roads. The park remains open for day use year-round from 6:30 a.m. to dusk, offering snow play and winter activities against the backdrop of the North Cascades.
