About

Falls Creek Campground is a forested primitive campground located along the Chewuch River in the Methow Valley Ranger District of Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. At 2,100 feet elevation, it provides a shaded riverside setting with swimming opportunities in the Chewuch River once high spring flows subside. The campground's main attraction is the paved, quarter-mile trail directly across the road that leads to scenic Falls Creek waterfalls. This is a no-frills camping experience with vault toilets and picnic tables but no potable water, so campers must bring their own or filter from the river. There is no trash service; pack out all garbage. The campground accommodates tents and small trailers up to 18 feet. Sites are limited to 2 tents maximum or 1 tent and 1 RV, with a 2-vehicle limit per site. All sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations. Payment is $15/night via the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan & Pay QR code system. Interagency Senior/Access pass holders receive 50% off. The area also features a popular road bike loop on East and West Chewuch Roads, and fishing in the river requires compliance with Washington State fishing regulations.
