About

Honeymoon Campground is a small, intimate forested campground nestled along Eightmile Creek in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The campground gets its romantic name from being the honeymoon spot of a past forest ranger and his wife. Located at 3,300 feet elevation, this quiet camp offers a peaceful setting surrounded by trees and the sounds of the creek. The campground serves as a gateway to excellent hiking opportunities. The beautiful but challenging Copper Glance Trail (No. 519) is located about 3.5 miles north of the campground. Visitors can also travel to the end of Eightmile Road to access Hidden Lakes Trail (No. 477) or Larch Creek Trail (No. 502), both of which lead deep into the Pasayten Wilderness. The area offers scenic drives and opportunities for stream fishing. With a maximum campsite length of 22 feet, Honeymoon Campground is best suited for smaller RVs and trailers or tent camping. Sites include picnic tables and fire pits, and vault toilets are provided. There is no potable water on-site, so visitors must treat or filter water from nearby sources. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with payment via Scan & Pay using the Recreation.gov mobile app.
