Dam-site 14 Campground is one of several camping areas within Pawnee State Recreation Area, located approximately 12 miles west of downtown Lincoln and three miles northwest of Emerald, Nebraska, just off Interstate 80 at Exit 388. The recreation area encompasses 2,544 acres surrounding the 740-acre Pawnee Lake, which is the second largest lake in the Salt Valley. The recreation area offers diverse outdoor activities including fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, hunting, and wildlife photography. Pawnee features modern facilities including restrooms with showers, a camp store with kayak and canoe rentals, bait and tackle, a concession stand, marina, and gas station. The area also includes a shotgun-only shooting range and equestrian trails. The campground provides convenient access to lake recreation while being close to Lincoln. A valid Nebraska state park entry permit is required for access to the recreation area.

From Interstate 80, take Exit 388. The recreation area is located three miles northwest of Emerald, Nebraska and approximately 12 miles west of downtown Lincoln.
