The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes through the area, heading south into the Mount Jefferson Wilderness. Numerous other hiking trails wind throughout the lake-filled scenic area. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Facilities are primitive with vault toilets but no potable water. Campers must bring their own drinking water and be prepared to pay fees with cash or check. Vehicle length is limited to 16 feet maximum, making this campground unsuitable for larger RVs or trailers.
