About

Camp Ten Campground sits on the south shore of Olallie Lake within the scenic Olallie Lake Scenic Area of Mt. Hood National Forest. At nearly 5,000 feet elevation, this remote campground provides a true backcountry camping experience with vault toilets but no potable water. The lake is perfect for non-motorized boating and fishing, with numerous trails winding through the lake-dotted landscape. The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes through the area, heading south into the Mount Jefferson Wilderness. Olallie Lake Trail #731 connects Camp Ten to Paul Dennis Campground on the north shore. The high elevation means the campground is typically only accessible from June through early fall, with snow limiting access earlier in the season. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Due to the narrow, winding access roads and remote location, vehicles are limited to 16 feet maximum length. Nearby Olallie Lake Resort provides limited supplies during the summer season.
