Clear Creek Campground is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility situated in the forested hills surrounding Sardis Lake in northwest Mississippi. Located just 15 minutes north of Oxford, the campground provides convenient access to one of the region's premier recreation destinations. Much of the campground is closed, but 19 sites remain open in the back section, all equipped with electric and water hookups. Flush toilets, showers, and drinking water are provided on-site. Sardis Lake covers over 98,000 acres in the rolling hills of northwest Mississippi. The man-made lake sits on the Tallahatchie River at an approximate elevation of 400 feet, surrounded by bottomland hardwood forests. The lake attracts five million visitors annually for boating, fishing, water skiing, and swimming. A scenic trail near the campground offers excellent opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. Nearby attractions include John W. Kyle State Park across the lake, which features a swimming pool, golf course, and recreation hall. Holly Springs National Forest lies just east of Sardis Lake and is popular for wildlife viewing. The campground enforces a 14-day stay limit within any 30-day period at a single USACE Vicksburg District campground.

Directions

From Oxford, Mississippi, take Highway 314 north 8 miles and follow signs to the campground. Open sites are located in the back section beginning at Site 20 on the left and Site 62 on the right.
