Clear Creek Day Use Area
This is a day-use facility only with no overnight camping. The boat ramp and day-use areas require a day use pass. For overnight camping, book at the separate Clear Creek Campground.
About
Clear Creek Day Use Area sits in the pine and hardwood forests surrounding Sardis Lake, approximately 15 minutes from Oxford, Mississippi. The facility provides access to one of northwest Mississippi's premier recreational lakes, which covers over 98,000 acres on the Tallahatchie River. The day-use area features a boat launch, multiple picnic sites, and two group picnic shelters available for reservation at $100 per day. A 13-mile mountain bike trail winds through the surrounding forest. Sardis Lake offers fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming. This is a day-use only facility. Visitors seeking overnight camping should book sites at the separate Clear Creek Campground, which offers 19 sites with electric and water hookups, flush toilets, showers, and drinking water.
Directions
From Oxford, MS take Highway 314 (Old Sardis Road) approximately 8 miles until you see the Clear Creek Recreation Entrance sign. The day use area is about 1 mile past the sign.
