Clear Creek Day Use Area sits within the rolling hills of northwest Mississippi along Sardis Lake, a 98,000-acre man-made reservoir on the Tallahatchie River. The recreation area is conveniently located within 15 minutes of Oxford, home to the University of Mississippi. The facility is surrounded by pine and hardwood forests and offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities.
The day use area features multiple picnic sites, two group picnic shelters available for reservation at $100 per day, and a boat launch providing access to Sardis Lake. A 13-mile mountain bike trail system begins from the area, offering trails through the forested landscape. Visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, water skiing, swimming, hunting, and hiking opportunities at Sardis Lake and the surrounding public lands managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The facility serves as a gateway to both water-based recreation on Sardis Lake and land-based activities in the surrounding forests. After a day outdoors, visitors can explore nearby Oxford, a bustling college town offering unique dining and shopping experiences. The area sits at approximately 400 feet elevation and provides a mix of lake access and forested recreation opportunities.

From Oxford, MS take Highway 314 (Old Sardis Road) approximately 8 miles until you see the Clear Creek Recreation Entrance sign. The day use area is about 1 mile past the sign.
