Jensen Cabin sits at approximately 6,400 feet on the edge of a meadow surrounded by pine trees in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Built in the early 1970s and fully remodeled, this two-room cabin with loft is constructed of rough cut lumber with metal siding and roof. The cabin sleeps six people with two sets of bunk beds in one room and two twin beds in the loft, all with mattresses provided.
The cabin includes a wood stove with cut firewood for heat, a propane stove for cooking, limited cooking utensils, a table with benches and chairs, and a plastic tub for washing. Outside facilities include a hand pump for water, vault toilet, fire pit, and picnic table. No electricity, running water, or cell service is available. Guests should bring bedding, lighting, matches, first aid kit, and trash bags. All food and garbage must be stored inside to avoid attracting bears and other wildlife.

The location offers year-round recreation including horseback riding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, OHV riding, snowmobiling, hiking, mountain biking, berry picking in late summer, and hunting in season. McCoy Creek and Jensen Creek provide nearby fishing opportunities. Wildlife includes black bear, elk, moose, and mule deer.
