Redding Campground

Closed

The campground is currently closed, likely due to flooding affecting the Mulberry River corridor. The Pleasant Hill Ranger District has experienced flood-related closures in recent weeks. When open, the campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis.

About

Redding Campground occupies a scenic setting on the banks of the Wild and Scenic Mulberry River, surrounded by the hardwood forests of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests. The campground is managed by the Pleasant Hill Ranger District and operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Facilities include a bath house with flush toilets and warm showers, a well water system with spouts dispersed throughout the campground, and a rock canoe launch with handicap-accessible river access. The Mulberry River is recognized as one of Arkansas's premier smallmouth and spotted bass fisheries and offers Class I-II rapids for paddlers. Hikers can access both the Spy Rock Trail and the Ozark Highlands Trail directly from the campground. Payment can be made on-site via the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature, though campers should download the app before arriving as cellular service may be limited.
