About
Redding Campground is a beautiful setting for an outdoor getaway nestled in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest along the Wild and Scenic Mulberry River. The campground features 27 sites available on a first-come, first-served basis, surrounded by forest with direct river access via an accessible rock canoe launch. Redding is a popular base camp for paddlers, anglers, and hikers exploring the Mulberry River corridor. The campground offers a bathhouse with flush toilets and warm showers, with well water spouts dispersed throughout the grounds. Sites accommodate camping trailers up to 45 feet, though no hookups are provided. The $15 per night fee includes two vehicles, with an additional $3 charge for extra vehicles. Redding serves as a trailhead for the popular Spy Rock Loop trail and provides access to the Ozark Highlands Trail. The river offers excellent smallmouth bass fishing and scenic float trips. Day-use is also available for $3 per day. The campground is located 18 miles north of Ozark on Arkansas Highway 23, then 3 miles east on Forest Service Road 1003.
Directions
From Ozark, take Arkansas Highway 23 north for 18 miles then turn right (east) on Forest Service Road 1003 for 3 miles.
