Ozark Pavilion

Closed — Closed for the season. Water and electricity are turned off from approximately November 15 to March 14 each year. The facility reopens mid-March with full amenities and fee collection.

About

The Ozark Pavilion sits in the heart of Ozark Campground near the impressive bluffs of the Buffalo National River. This covered picnic facility can accommodate up to 100 people and provides electricity during the operating season. Located along one of the few remaining free-flowing rivers in the lower 48 states, the pavilion offers stunning views of lush forests and high riverside limestone bluffs. The Buffalo River provides excellent opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, swimming, and fishing, with peak paddling season running from spring to early summer. The Buffalo River Trailhead is located next to the pavilion, offering access to a scenic 36.5-mile trail from Boxley to Pruitt that is ideal for hiking and backpacking. The campground features 31 drive-in and tent sites with flush restrooms during the operating season. The pavilion is accessible via a one-mile gravel road off Highway 7, approximately 13 miles south of Harrison. The nearby town of Jasper offers restaurants, gas stations, and groceries. Special events such as weddings or concerts require a Special Use Permit in addition to the pavilion reservation.

Directions

From Harrison, head south on Highway 7 for approximately 13 miles. After driving across a bridge over the Buffalo River, look for a brown sign for the Ozark Campground. Turn right onto the gravel road and follow it for about one mile to the campground and pavilion.
