About
Carver Campground offers a quiet, primitive camping experience in the upper district of Buffalo National River, located 12 miles east of Jasper, Arkansas. The campground features 8 tent-only sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site accommodates up to 6 people and includes a fire ring, picnic table, grill grate, and lantern pole. The campground is situated just off Highway 123 where it crosses the Buffalo River, providing easy access to fishing, swimming, and paddling opportunities. This is a pack in/pack out facility with no trash service, so campers must carry out all refuse. A vault restroom is available year-round, and potable water is provided seasonally from mid-March through mid-November. The campground has no electrical hookups, showers, or ADA-accessible sites. RVs and trailers are not permitted. Campers may collect dead and down wood for firewood, and cooking stoves are allowed. The Buffalo River offers excellent smallmouth bass fishing and is lined with bluffs reaching up to 440 feet high.
