About
Ozark Campground offers 31 first-come, first-served campsites situated along the scenic Buffalo River, just 4 miles north of Jasper, Arkansas. The campground provides a perfect base for exploring one of the few remaining undammed rivers in the lower 48 states, with direct access to swimming holes beneath impressive riverside limestone bluffs and put-in points for canoeing and kayaking. During the main season (March 15 through November 14), the campground provides flush restrooms and potable water. In winter months (November 15 through March 14), water systems are shut down and only vault toilets are available, but camping remains free of charge. Each site accommodates up to 6 people and includes a fire ring and picnic table. RVs and trailers are permitted, though no hookups are available. The Buffalo River Trail passes through the campground, offering access to the extensive 36.5-mile trail system. The campground features a covered pavilion in the center that can accommodate groups up to 100 people. While the campground itself is not ADA accessible, the restroom facilities meet ADA standards during the main season.
