About

Located within the Kettle Moraine State Forest Pike Lake Unit, this family campground sits amid the glacial landforms of southeast Wisconsin. The Sunrise campground features 32 sites split between 24 wooded and 8 open locations, with 11 sites offering electric hookups. Modern amenities include a shower building, flush toilets, water fountains, and a dump station. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table, fire pit, and tent pad. The campground serves as a base for exploring the 522-acre spring-fed Pike Lake and the surrounding glacial topography. Visitors can hike the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, climb Powder Hill for panoramic views, and enjoy lake activities. Three backpack campsites along the Ice Age Trail provide additional primitive camping opportunities. Most sites are reservable through the Wisconsin state parks system, with a couple first-come, first-served options available.
