Pike Lake Unit Campground sits within the Kettle Moraine State Forest about 25 miles north of Milwaukee. The 32-site family campground divides into 24 wooded sites tucked among the glacial terrain and 8 open sites with more sun exposure. Eleven sites offer electric hookups for RVs and campers seeking power. Every site comes equipped with a picnic table, fire pit, and tent pad. The campground features a modern shower building with flush toilets and drinking water fountains. A dump station serves RV campers ($10 fee for non-registered guests). Firewood and ice are sold at the main office or camp host site. Wisconsin requires all firewood to come from within 10 miles of the park or be certified to prevent pest spread. Three backpack campsites along the Ice Age Trail remain open year-round for hikers seeking more primitive camping. The forest entrance lies about 3 miles west of U.S. Highway 41 on State Highway 60. Reservations are made through wisconsin.goingtocamp.com up to 11 months in advance, with unreserved sites available first-come, first-served.
