Salt Fork State Park campground is located within Ohio's largest state park, encompassing over 20,000 acres in Guernsey County. The modern campground features 212 sites, all with electricity, including approximately 40 sites with full hookups (water, electric, and sewer). The facility is well-maintained with heated shower houses, flush toilets, a dump station, and wheelchair accessibility with 18 designated ADA sites. The campground includes separate beach access, boat launching, and docking facilities for campers. The park surrounds a 2,952-acre lake that supports both motorized and non-motorized boating, along with excellent fishing opportunities. Recreation options include a top-rated 18-hole golf course, miniature golf, two marinas with eight launch ramps, basketball courts, and playgrounds. Hikers can explore trail systems offering various lengths and difficulty levels, while history enthusiasts can visit the historic Kennedy Stone House. Additional facilities include a full-service resort lodge and deluxe vacation cabins. All campsites are now reservable through the Ohio State Parks reservation system, with no walk-in sites currently available. The campground also offers group camping facilities and a separate horsemen's camp for equestrian enthusiasts. The park is open year-round, providing four-season recreation opportunities from summer water activities to winter sports.

Directions

From I-77, take Exit 47 for Kimbolton. Head east on Kimbolton Road, then turn left onto Old Twenty One Road. After approximately 5 miles, turn right onto Broadhead Road. Continue for 1 mile, then turn right onto Vandalia Lane. Proceed through the stop sign to reach the campground's gatehouse.
