About

Orr Lake Campground is a quiet, fee-free primitive campground tucked into the Klamath National Forest with commanding views of Mt. Shasta. The campground features 8 sites total: 4 standard sites on the east side of the lake and 4 double sites on the north end, all connected by a scenic trail that hugs the eastern shoreline and provides access to fishing jetties. The lake is stocked with trout and also holds bass and catfish, making it a popular destination for anglers. Two boat ramps serve the lake: a standard ramp on the east shore and a hand-launch ramp on the north end for smaller watercraft. Campfires are permitted in designated fire rings at campsites only. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets but no potable water. Campers must bring all drinking water and enough extra to fully drown campfires. The 14-day stay limit applies, and dogs must be kept on leash. Given the remote location and lack of amenities, the campground is best suited for self-sufficient campers seeking solitude and access to quality fishing.
