About
Onondaga Cave State Park Campground sits in the Ozark hills of Missouri, offering campers access to one of the state's most impressive cave systems. The park's namesake cave features towering stalagmites, dripping stalactites, and active flowstones that earned it National Natural Landmark designation. Above ground, the Meramec River borders the park, providing opportunities for canoeing and fishing. The campground offers both basic and electric/water sites with concrete pads, picnic tables, grills, and lantern posts. Family campsites provide extra space, and 50-amp electric service is available at select sites. Facilities include shower houses with restrooms, laundry, and a dump station. The park store stocks camping supplies and firewood during the on-season. A separate special-use camping area accommodates group camping for nonprofit organizations and youth groups. The campground operates year-round, though showers and water systems are only available from April 1 through October 31. During off-season months, vault toilets remain accessible. The Vilander Bluff Natural Area within the park offers scenic overlooks of the Meramec River valley.
