Open — Open year-round for camping. Due to seasonal flooding, certain sites in Loops 1 and 4 are available first-come, first-served only through May 14, 2026. Note that Loop 4 (sites 131-178) will be completely closed July 15 through September 30, 2026, for culvert replacement construction.
About
Ocean City State Park Campground is North Beach's largest year-round camping destination, offering 178 campsites distributed across four loops within a 170-acre coastal park. The campground sits under a well-shaded forest dominated by shore pines, providing a peaceful retreat just a 15-minute walk from the Pacific Ocean beach. With 149 standard sites and 29 full hookup sites (located in Loop 4), the park accommodates both tent campers and RVs. All sites include picnic tables and fire rings. The park's nearly 3,000 feet of Pacific Ocean shoreline offers exceptional opportunities for seasonal razor clam harvesting, saltwater fishing, beachcombing, surfing, and winter storm watching. Trails wind through dune grasses and shore pines leading to the expansive sandy beach. Birdwatchers can observe migratory species, and the park provides access to a variety of coastal activities. Loop 3 is designed for tent camping with quieter, more private sites. Located near Ocean Shores on the Grays Harbor Peninsula, the campground provides convenient access to local restaurants, shops, and recreational activities including horseback riding, go-karts, and mini golf. The park features modern amenities including restrooms with showers, a dump station with fresh water, accessible facilities, and an amphitheater. Two large group camping sites accommodate organized groups. The campground operates under Washington State Parks and requires a Discover Pass for vehicle access.
