Lake Sylvia State Park Campground

Open — The park is currently closed due to heavy rain and storm impacts that have elevated lake levels and placed stress on the dam. The closure includes the trail system and lake recreation. Normally operates year-round with reservable campsites April 1 through September 30, and first-come, first-served camping the rest of the year.

About

Lake Sylvia State Park is a quiet 233-acre camping park located in dense temperate rainforest just north of Montesano in Grays Harbor County. The park features 15,000 feet of freshwater shoreline along Lake Sylvia and Sylvia Creek, offering a peaceful retreat between Olympia and the Pacific coast. Originally an old logging camp, the park now provides year-round camping with 31 standard campsites, 4 walk-in sites, 2 hiker/biker sites, and 3 partial hookup sites with water and electric. The park's trail system includes five miles of hiking and biking trails, including a scenic loop around the lake and a half-mile ADA-accessible trail. Summer activities include fishing from the accessible bridge, swimming at the beach, and paddling on the calm lake waters. Day-use facilities feature the Legacy Pavilion, which accommodates up to 60 guests with optional retractable walls for lake views, and the Beach Shelter for smaller gatherings. Additional amenities include restrooms with hot showers, a dump station, an ADA-accessible playground, picnic areas, and firewood sales.
