About
Bear Creek Campground provides quality camping facilities on the south side of Benbrook Lake in north-central Texas. Operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this campground features wooded hillsides and prairie terrain along Bear Creek, offering both individual and group camping opportunities.
The campground contains 40 campsites, all equipped with 20/30 amp electric and water hookups. Six sites offer upgraded 50 amp electric service, with two of those also including sewer hookups. Every campsite includes a covered table, parking area, and cooker. The park has three restrooms, two of which feature shower facilities. Boat ramps at either end of the campground provide convenient access to both the main lake body and the Bear Creek channel.
A group camping facility is available within the park, featuring a large pavilion with parking, lighting, water and electric outlets, plus six individual campsites arranged around the central pavilion. Each group site has its own parking, hookups, and covered table. Several individual campsites and the group shelter can be reserved through Recreation.gov. The campground is managed by the Fort Worth District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of Benbrook Lake's recreation facilities.
