About
Holiday Park campground sits on the western shore of Benbrook Lake in north central Texas, just southwest of Fort Worth. The terrain varies from wooded bottomlands to upland prairie with open shorelines and rocky hillsides. The campground serves as the main year-round camping facility at Benbrook Lake and is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The park offers 105 campsites including 31 sites with 20/30/50 amp electric and water hookups, 43 sites with 20/30 amp electric and water, 5 enclosed screened shelters with full hookups, 26 primitive tent sites, and an equestrian campsite. Restrooms with showers are available, along with a trailer dump station, boat launch ramps with loading docks, and fishing opportunities. Developed trails throughout the park offer hiking and horseback riding, with wildlife viewing opportunities including deer, turkey, bluebirds, and woodpeckers. Fort Worth's Cultural and Museum District, Stockyards National Historic District, Botanical Gardens, and Zoo are all nearby, making this a convenient base for exploring the region.
