About
Moose Flat Campground is a small, rustic Forest Service campground located along the scenic Greys River in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, approximately 23 miles southeast of Alpine, Wyoming. Situated at 6,400 feet elevation, the campground offers 10 campsites that can accommodate trailers up to 30 feet in length. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations available. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets and potable water via a hand pump during the operating season. Each site is limited to 2 vehicles, and campers may stay up to 14 days. Sites are $10 per night when amenities are available. After the seasonal closure, the gate remains open for free use, though water, bathrooms, and trash service are not available. Moose Flat Campground is adjacent to Pearson Creek Trailhead, which begins with a ford across the Greys River. The area offers excellent opportunities for fishing, hiking, and exploring the Greys River corridor.
