This is a day-use area only with no overnight camping. The summit road and pavilion are open seasonally from mid-May through mid-October. Pavilion reservations available via ReserveAmerica for $65/day. Parking fees apply: $5 for MA residents, $20 for non-residents.

About

Mount Sugarloaf State Reservation in South Deerfield offers one of western Massachusetts' most scenic overlooks. The park encompasses both North and South Sugarloaf peaks, with an auto road providing vehicle access to the South Sugarloaf summit. From the top, visitors enjoy sweeping views of the Connecticut River, Pioneer Valley farmland, and the Pelham and Berkshire Hills in the distance. The summit features a covered pavilion that can be reserved for picnics and small gatherings (up to 30 people). Amenities include picnic tables, charcoal grills, electricity, and an accessible restroom. The park is popular for hiking, mountain biking, and scenic viewing. This is strictly a day-use facility; overnight camping is not permitted at Mt. Sugarloaf State Reservation.

Located at 300 Sugarloaf Street, South Deerfield, MA 01373. From I-91, take Exit 24 and follow Route 116 South. Turn right onto Sugarloaf Street and follow signs to the summit auto road.
