About

Erving State Forest campground sits on a wooded hillside overlooking pristine Laurel Lake in Franklin County, Massachusetts. The 27 campsites are spread through a mature forest setting, providing shade and privacy. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table, pedestal grill, and fire ring. The campground features modern amenities including flush toilets and coin-operated hot showers. Laurel Lake serves as the centerpiece of the recreation area, with a sandy beach for swimming, fishing opportunities for bass and panfish, and a boat ramp for launching canoes, kayaks, and other non-motorized watercraft. The forest contains 8 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing in winter. This is a tent and small camper campground. Most sites accommodate vehicles up to 14 feet, with some sites limited to 10 feet or less. Large RVs and trailers will not fit. Reservations are required through the Massachusetts DCR reservation system and can be made up to 4 months in advance.
