About

Glendalough State Park's cart-in campground provides a peaceful escape from vehicle traffic and noise. Located in west-central Minnesota near Battle Lake, the 22 tent-only sites are nestled in a quiet wooded area between 200 and 1,300 feet from the parking area. Free wheeled carts are provided at the trailhead to help transport gear, making this accessible for families while maintaining the backcountry feel. Each campsite includes a fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad. The campground has vault toilets available year-round, with seasonal showers and flush toilets operating during peak season. Drinking water is available from a hand pump during warmer months. A maximum of two tents are allowed per site. The park sits in the transition zone between prairie and hardwood forest, with trails meandering along five lakes through rich woods and blooming prairies. Annie Battle Lake is a 335-acre non-motorized Heritage Fishery offering exceptional fishing. Canoes, kayaks, and rowboats are available for rental.

Directions

From Battle Lake, take Highway 78 north approximately 2 miles. Turn east on County Road 16 and follow signs to park entrance at 24869 Whitetail Lane, Battle Lake, MN 56515.
