Glendalough State Park Group Campground

Closed — The campground operates seasonally, typically closing after fall and reopening in spring. Restroom and shower facilities at the main campground are open from early May through early October.

About

Glendalough State Park Group Campground offers group camping near Battle Creek in the heart of the park's transition zone between prairie and hardwood forest. The group camp accommodates larger groups and provides convenient access to both Annie Battle Lake, a 335-acre Heritage Fishery where no motors are allowed, and Molly Stark Lake, which permits motorized boating. Campers are allowed to drive in and drop off their equipment before parking in the nearby lot, making load-in easier for groups. The group camp is a short walk from the picnic area, swimming beach, and fishing pier on Molly Stark Lake. Amenities include a picnic shelter, multiple picnic tables, fire rings, rustic toilets, and a hand pump for water access. The campground operates seasonally and shares proximity to the park's 9 miles of hiking trails, historic Glendalough Lodge, and extensive wildlife observation opportunities. The park also features restored prairies, connecting creeks ideal for paddling, and winter recreation including groomed ski trails.

Directions

From Battle Lake, Minnesota, drive 1.5 miles north on State Highway 78, then turn east onto Ottertail County Highway 16 and continue for 1.8 miles to reach the park entrance.
