Maplewood State Park Group Camp is situated near the Beers Lake boat ramp area within Minnesota's Maplewood State Park, located in Otter Tail County. The group site (GC1) can accommodate up to 30 people, making it suitable for scout troops, family reunions, or other organized groups seeking a rustic camping experience in this scenic glacial landscape. The group camp provides basic amenities typical of Minnesota state park group facilities: picnic tables and fire rings with grills for cooking, access to water, and primitive vault toilets. Modern restroom and shower facilities are not available at the group camp, though the main campground areas elsewhere in the park do feature accessible shower buildings. Campers should bring approved firewood only, as the park enforces firewood regulations to prevent the spread of invasive species. Maplewood State Park encompasses over 9,000 acres of rolling hills, hardwood forests featuring sugar maple, basswood, and oak, and more than 20 lakes. The park offers extensive hiking trails, fishing opportunities, and wildlife viewing. Group campers have access to Beers Lake for boating and can explore the park's diverse terrain during their stay.
