About

Sibley State Park's group campgrounds provide an ideal setting for large gatherings in west-central Minnesota near New London. The park operates three separate group camps with a combined capacity of 100 people. Each group camp is equipped with fire rings, picnic tables, running water, and vault toilets, making them suitable for organized group outings and events. The park itself is rich in history, featuring rustic stone structures built by the Veterans Conservation Corps between 1935 and 1938, which are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located on the shores of Lake Andrew, the park offers a variety of recreational activities including hiking to Mount Tom, one of the highest points in a 50-mile radius, fishing, and exploring diverse landscapes of forest, farmland, and prairie knolls. Group camps at Sibley State Park operate seasonally from mid-May through October, providing access to the park's amenities during the peak camping season. The main park also features Lakeview Campground, which reopened in May 2025 after extensive renovations, as well as camper cabins and equestrian camping areas.
