About

Camden State Park Campground sits along the scenic Redwood River in southwestern Minnesota, offering diverse camping experiences across multiple campgrounds. The park features over 80 drive-in campsites split between two main areas. The upper campground, located in the southern part of the park on higher prairie terrain, operates seasonally and includes 45 sites with 21 electric hookups and seven pull-through sites. The lower campground nestles in denser woods near the river and provides 35 year-round sites, making it ideal for winter camping enthusiasts. Both main campgrounds feature flush toilets and showers during the operating season, with all sites equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. The park also maintains a primitive horse camp with 12 sites, complete with corrals and tie-ups, plus a group camp that can accommodate up to 50 people. Campers can enjoy fishing in the Redwood River or Brawner Lake, swimming in the spring-fed pool, and exploring miles of hiking and equestrian trails through wooded river valleys and prairie overlooks.
