About

Maplewood State Park offers rustic camper cabins nestled in rolling glacial hills dotted with hardwood forests and prairie openings. The park features five one-room wooden cabins, each measuring 12 by 16 feet and equipped with wooden bunkbeds with mattresses, a table, benches, and a screened porch. Most cabins include heat and electricity, making them suitable for year-round use, though only three to four cabins remain available during winter months. Each cabin accommodates up to six people and comes with an outdoor picnic table and fire ring with grate for outdoor cooking. The cabins are located in or near the campground area, providing access to seasonal restrooms, showers, and drinking water during warmer months. Primitive toilets are available year-round. Cabins do not have indoor plumbing or cooking facilities, though crockpots and coffeepots are permitted inside. Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance through the Minnesota state park system. The cabins provide an excellent base for exploring Maplewood's extensive trail system, fishing the park's lakes, or enjoying winter activities like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing right from your door.
