The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a Fire Weather Watch. * AFFECTED AREA...Portions of central, east central, south central, southeast, and west central Minnesota. * TIMING...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. * WINDS...Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 18 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Wild River Campground is the main drive-in campground at Wild River State Park, situated along 18 miles of the scenic St. Croix National Wild and Scenic River in east-central Minnesota. The campground features 94 campsites distributed across five separate loops in the southeast portion of the park, providing a range of options for tent campers and RV enthusiasts alike. The campground includes 34 sites with electrical hookups (20-, 30-, and 50-amp service available) and four pull-through sites without electrical service. All sites are equipped with fire rings, picnic tables, and grills. The campground offers modern amenities including flush toilets and seasonal shower facilities, along with drinking water stations throughout. A dump station is available for RV waste disposal. RVs and trailers up to 60 feet in length can be accommodated, though parking pads are unpaved and may require leveling. Beyond the main campground, Wild River State Park offers additional overnight options including six camper cabins, a horse campground with 20 sites, backpack camping sites, canoe camping, and walk-in sites. The park's diverse landscapes along the St. Croix River support abundant wildlife including eagles, beaver, otter, and over 625 plant species. Visitors enjoy year-round recreation including paddling, hiking on miles of trails, horseback riding, interpretive programs, and winter activities like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Directions
From I-35, take Exit #4 onto Highway 95 eastbound. Proceed 10 miles to County Road 12, then head northeast for 3.5 miles to the park entrance.
