About
Mott Park is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground located on the western shore of Bardwell Lake in north-central Texas, less than an hour south of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The park spans roughly 270 acres with 54 acres developed, offering 33 campsites equipped with water and 30-amp electric hookups. Facilities include a waterborne restroom with showers, a vault toilet, a sanitary dump station, and a group camping pavilion that can accommodate up to 100 people with four RV connections. The lake provides excellent fishing opportunities, particularly for bass, crappie, and catfish. Mott Park features a four-lane boat ramp with a courtesy dock, two fishing areas, and a swimming area with benches. Deer, armadillo, rabbit, squirrel, and various bird species inhabit the surrounding area, and bluebonnets and wildflowers bloom along the lakeshore each spring. Reservations are required and can be made through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Maximum stay is 14 days within any 30-day period across all Bardwell Lake parks.
