About

Mott Park is located on the western shore of Bardwell Lake, less than an hour south of the Dallas-Fort Worth area in north-central Texas. The campground offers both RV and tent camping in a grassy, partially forested setting with plenty of open space. The lake has favorable fish and wildlife habitats, making it a popular destination for fishing and outdoor recreation. Many local fishermen consider Bardwell Lake one of the best kept secrets in the state, with bass fishing that rarely disappoints, moderate crappie fishing, and usually excellent catfishing. The campground provides electric hookup sites for RVs, with both 30-amp and 50-amp service available. Each campsite accommodates up to ten persons and two camping structures (one tent and one RV, or two tents). The park features modern amenities including flush toilets, showers, and a boat ramp. Deer, armadillo, rabbit, squirrel and a variety of bird species inhabit the area. Bright bluebonnets and other wildflowers surround the lakeshore each spring, and the lake's blue water provides a refreshing break from the Texas heat.
