Pecan Point Park occupies the northern shore of Navarro Mills Lake in central Texas, providing an accessible escape for campers from the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. The campground offers 35 designated sites: 30 standard non-electric sites and 5 sites equipped with 50-amp electric service and water hookups. Most sites feature shade trees and accommodate RVs and trailers up to 65 feet, with pull-through options available. Facilities include flush toilets, a shower building, dump station, potable water, picnic tables, grills, and trash collection. A high-water boat ramp provides lake access for boating and fishing. Navarro Mills Lake holds the Texas state record for white crappie, drawing anglers year-round for excellent crappie, channel catfish, yellow catfish, and hybrid striper fishing below the dam. The area is known for exceptional spring wildflower displays, with bluebonnets and paintbrushes transforming the landscape. Birding is popular throughout the year, with sightings of great blue herons, hawks, waterfowl, and occasional bald eagles. Wildlife including white-tailed deer, coyotes, foxes, and bobcats inhabit the surrounding habitat.

Directions

From Corsicana or Waco, travel on State Highway 31 toward the lake. Turn north onto FM 667 and continue for 5 miles. Turn west onto FM 744 and go about 3 miles to the intersection with FM 1578. Turn south and drive about 2 miles to CR 3360. Turn right and drive into the park entrance.
