Morse Creek Campground

Open

Open year-round with season of use beginning June 1. First-come, first-served with no reservations. No fees. Campers must bring drinking water and pack out all trash.

About

Morse Creek Campground is a remote, primitive campground located at the end of Forest Road 40094 in the Pahsimeroi area of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. The three campsites sit along Morse Creek at an elevation of approximately 7,000 feet, surrounded by the rugged terrain of central Idaho's Lost River Range. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, and the campground has a single vault toilet. This is a true backcountry experience with no potable water, garbage service, or other developed amenities. Campers should come fully prepared with drinking water and plan to pack out all trash. The area offers excellent opportunities for trout fishing in Morse Creek and access to the Patterson-Morse Creek Trail #072, a 15.6-mile route popular with hikers and horseback riders. The small campground and remote location provide a quiet, uncrowded experience for those seeking solitude in Idaho's mountain country.

Directions
