Moose Lake Campground is a small, primitive camping area nestled in the remote North Fork region of Flathead National Forest in northwestern Montana. With only 3 designated campsites, this campground offers an intimate and quiet camping experience for those seeking solitude in the wilderness. The campground is equipped with a vault toilet, but campers must bring their own drinking water as none is provided on-site. The campground is situated near Moose Lake, where visitors can enjoy fishing opportunities. The remote location, approximately 35 miles north of Columbia Falls along the North Fork Road, provides access to the pristine wilderness of the Flathead National Forest. The area is subject to food storage orders due to wildlife activity, and campers should be prepared for primitive conditions. Moose Lake Campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees required. The campground is typically accessible from early July through the fall season, with access dates varying depending on snow conditions and road accessibility. A 16-day stay limit applies to all visitors.
